Hans Christian Andersen’s Fairy Tales has now completed it’s December run at The Pleasance in Islington. Final figures and reconciliation are still to be done, but preliminary results suggest we have at least broke even, and with this show the Actors received the largest advance of a Red Table production to date, you have to count that as a success. We’re still doing our best to make each show more viable to those involved, and we are learning more and more each show we do. Open Book Management is working!
Next on the agenda is our ‘post mortem’ so the management team can looked at what worked well, and what can be improved both in terms of producing in general and Open Book Management itself.

Open Book Theatre leads the way. Thanks to the efforts of all involved, and especially to our sponsors and investors, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival production returned a profit to investors, actors and company members – proving once again that profit share productions can and do make profits. See our message to investors.
